The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), established in 1863, is a not-for-profit association representing more than 80,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services. Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG)

The ECFVG is mandated to evaluate the professional competence of graduates of foreign colleges of veterinary medicine, to the benefit of such graduates and of the state veterinary licensing agencies, and of other concerned parties.
